Airbus A340 - four-long-haul passenger aircraft manufactured by the European consortium Airbus. A340 Family is the first type of Airbus aircraft equipped with four engines. A340 and A330 with very similar (the only major difference is the number of engines - the A330 are equipped with only two) were also the European debut of the manufacturer on the market for long-haul aircraft.
